In today’s society, there is a great need for those to be empowered and equipped with skills to live a functional and rewarding life. Often times, people do not know where to turn to get assistance or are weighed down so much, by society, that they have given up hope. The Benson Institute aims to change that through its 50 thousand book distribution program!
The 50 Thousand Book Program is a program that will provide self-help books to those in underserved communities or incarcerated in the United States and across the globe. The goal is to place these books in the hands of individuals and groups so that they learn life and functional skills to equip them to be able to enter society with the skills to be the best they can be, be employable, and able to create a business.
The Benson Institute will partner with local community organizations, churches, schools, and correctional facilities to distribute these books. In addition to the distribution, The Benson Institute will provide training to equip and empower those participating in the program. The training would consist of the following areas:
- Being the best person, you can be
- Branding Yourself
- Personal Finance
- Interviewing
- Resume writing
- Dressing for success
- Public Speaking
- Business Plan Development
